Our one day in Venice was the one-day break in the rain that Venice experienced for two weeks. But we got to experience some flooding the night before, and we walked on these tables.

Gondoliers charge so much because they buy gondolas from one man, the last maker in the world (i think), and they have to pay off loans from schooling. Also, Venice just overcharges everywhere for fun

Padlocking on the Rialto Bridge. Couples show their enduring love for one another by writing their names\initials on a padlock and throwing the key into the river. Rust from the padlocks destroy the bridges and artwork, so maybe love should be expressed differently.
